Man Docked For Attempting To Molest Nursing Mother
A 29-year-old man, Stanley Bestman, on Wednesday appeared before an Abuja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly attempting To Molest a woman, Naomi Haruna, on her farm.
The accused, who is of no fixed address, was charged for criminal assault and criminal force with intent To Molest Haruna at Daki-Biyu village, Jabi, Abuja on Aug. 30.
CRIME: Police Arrest Three For Bus Theft
Three persons have been arrested in connection with the theft of a commercial bus at the Somolu area of Lagos State.The suspects, Gbenga Aikomu, Bayo Adegoke and Tajudeen Jaiyeola, who are being detained at the Alade Police Division, Lagos, were said to have been apprehended at the Ogijo area of Ogun State.

ASUU Demands Will Cripple Govt – Maku
The Federal Government has said that the nation will shut down if all the demands by striking university lecturers were to be met.
Information Minister Labaran Maku stated this in Abuja yesterday while addressing State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Anambra To Employ 5,000 Teachers
Anambra State Governor Peter Obi yesterday ordered the immediate employment of 5,000 teachers and other administrative workers into the state’s primary and secondary schools.
Obi directed the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Uju Okeke, to ensure that the employment process followed due process in the 21 local government areas.

D'Banj is apparently in France on the invitation of Hennessy. The Nigerian pop star is the sole headliner for this year's Hennessy Artistry and he has already released the theme track for this year's project. He arrived France this morning from the US where he attended Davido's sister's wedding.
According to his people, he is already in Cognac (The home of Hennessy) where he's staying at the Chateau De Bangolet. Others on the visit are his manager Tony Nwakalor, Hennessy Brand manager Lere Awokoya, Marketing Manager Moet Hennessy Nigeria David Hourdry, Bolaji Kekere-Eku of 37th State and Ayeni Adekunle of BHM. D'Banj is staying in the same room where General Charles De Gaulle stayed when he visited the Hennessy mansion.See more photos below.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, announced, yesterday, that it had concluded the first round of admissions into degree-awarding institutions.
A statement by JAMB, signed by its Head Public Relations, Mr. Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja, said all candidates that made degree-awarding institutions their first choices or most-preferred are enjoined to check the Board’s website and print their admission letters.
