Kate Middleton has been considering different birthing options, according to reports
The Duchess of Cambridge is now counting down the days until she welcomes the Royal baby, and now it has been claimed that Kate Middleton is planning a hypno-birth to help combat labour pains.

The mum-to-be, who made her last solo appearance in a statement Dalmation-print mac yesterday, is apparently considering hypno-birthing, reports Grazia magazine.

Kate, who is married to Prince William, is said to be focussing on her delivering plan and is now alleged to be seriously considering the option, which focuses on the idea that anxiety and fear around labour are what causes it to last longer, as well as increased pain.

A source told the magazine: "Kate has researched various birthing methods. She wants it to be natural, so hypno-birthing is one option that appealed and she had been reading up on it and listening to CDs to get into the right frame of mind."

(Does anyone listen to CDs anymore?) It has been widely speculated that Kate will be giving birth at St. Mary Hospital in Paddington, where her husband Wills and his brother Prince Harry were born. Kate is also alleged to be using a birthing pool as well when the little tot finally arrives. The insider suggests that Kate has been getting tips off some of her friends.

"Some of her friends have used this method and swear by it. Kate wants to do it her way and be relaxed," they claimed.

A source also told Now magazine that the 30-year-old was getting "excited" about the idea: "Kate's very excited about the idea of hypno-birth. She's exploring lots of options but thinks it sounds very interesting," the source claimed.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson has said on behalf of the parents-to-be Kate and Wills: "We appreciate it's a happy occasion, but there are some matters which should remain private to the duchess."

Kate made her last solo appearance yesterday in Southampton, where she took part in a Princess Cruises naming ceremony.
